Set to the rocking rhythm of the top 40 songs by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman heard in the Oscar-nominated movie, as well as original songs by Tom Snow and Dean Pitchford, "Footloose," adapted by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie from the original screenplay by Pitchford, celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people and guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.

The cast includes J. Quinton Johnson ("Choir Boy") as Ren, Isabelle McCalla ("The Prom") as Ariel, Michael Park ("Dear Evan Hansen") as Reverend Shaw, Tony nominee Rebecca Luker ("Mary Poppins") as Vi, and Tony nominee Judy Kuhn ("Fun Home") as Ethel.
