Ambitious, Dire Set, Drawn Out, Illuminating, Powerful

See it if Well executed snapshot of society under recession era Thatcher. Solid performances by the cast with limiting script.

Don't see it if Set was a little underwhelming, some accents difficult to decipher (perhaps intentionally) and the plot not entirely cohesive.

Absorbing, Clever, Entertaining

See it if You want to find the history of the unemployment crisis. A Griffin drama that holds you in makes you laugh makes you cry

Don't see it if As an American couple in front of me said it’s hardly romp like Fawlty Towers

Cliched, Dated, Great Acting, Intense

See it if You like intense acting, with an ensemble that works well together. Yes the lead actor sounds like Captain Price from COD.

Don't see it if You don't like cliched dated stories that have been told before. Didn't emotionally grab me at any point even with the twist.

Dated, Over Acted, Thought-Provoking

See it if You have pathos for working class life in the 80s (northern England)

Don't see it if This is very much ‘of its time’ and seems dated and very local. Difficult to imagine a broad interest in this in modern audiences

Absorbing, Entertaining, Exquisite, Great Acting, Great Staging

See it if You saw the original this is very atmospheric and retains the original sadness and dark humour, Yossa carried it off beautifully. Well done.

Don't see it if You don’t like Scousers.
