Jeff and Hunter, two aspiring writers, discover a musical theatre festival but face a tight deadline of just three weeks. With nothing to lose, they team up with friends Susan, Heidi, and pianist Larry to create something new. As they brainstorm, Jeff suggests they write about the very process of creating the show.
