Puck returns to save a fading forest, where magic and nature vanish with every tree cut down.
Do you remember what happened in the Forest of Athens? Puck does. But time has passed, and the once-magical woods are disappearing as trees are cut down, taking their enchantment with them. To save the forest, Puck joins Cassie and Mylas on a quest to find Oberon and Titania and restore its lost wonder. A continuation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Vanishing Forest blends spells, puppetry, and mystical flowers in a Shakespeare-infused opera that teaches children about deforestation and inspires action. Created by Jonathan Ainscough, Michael Betteridge, and Victoria Briggs, this marks the final chapter in English Touring Opera’s climate change trilogy.
