An exhilarating blend of ballet, athleticism, and dynamic music, celebrating Forsythe’s genius.
The Forsythe Programme returns after a celebrated run, bringing an exhilarating mix of ballet, athleticism, and vibrant music to the stage. This joyful production blends classical technique with dynamic movement, set to a soundtrack featuring Barry White, Natalie Cole, and Khalid, ensuring an experience that is both thrilling and uplifting.
The programme also features Herman Schmerman (Quintet), a captivating display of Forsythe’s signature style, making its first UK appearance in nearly 30 years. This electrifying work, choreographed for five dancers, effortlessly fuses precision and spontaneity, keeping both the audience and performers on their toes. Set to an electronic score by Thom Willems, a longtime Forsythe collaborator, the piece pulses with energy and unpredictability.
Adding to the excitement is Rearray (London Edition 2025), Forsythe’s latest evolution of his 2011 work, originally created for the legendary Sylvie Guillem and later adapted for the Paris Opera Ballet. Now, English National Ballet takes on this ever-evolving piece, where a trio of dancers masterfully navigate its shifting structure, offering a fresh interpretation of Forsythe’s boundary-pushing choreography.
