Set in the week following the September 11 2001 attacks, 'Come From Away' is inspired by the real-life experiences of the 7,000 airline passengers who were unexpectedly diverted to the isolated town of Gander, Canada. The small Newfoundland community mobilized to welcome and support the 'come from aways' into their lives.
This uplifting musical celebrates community, kindness, and humanity. The musical follows many of the true events that transpired and friendships that were formed at the time.
