Linked Dance Theatre presents this story of a woman who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Part free art installation and part ticketed immersive show, this program will explore the fracturing memories of Margaret.
From the show:
You are invited to come help Margaret celebrate her 65th birthday as one of her friends or family members. She was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's 3 years ago and this may be one of the last opportunities you have to visit with her like the old days. Come for the party but be prepared - not only does Margaret's home wait for you, but so do her memories. Will you remember as she forgets?
Please be advised, at Margaret's birthday you will be required to stand, move around, and climb a flight of stairs at different times. Unfortunately her house is not wheelchair accessible. The party will last around an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on how well you know Margaret. Her party does contain some difficult emotional content; we recommend the minimum age to come celebrate with her be 11 years old.
