Company of Fools presents its inaugural production, a stripped-down revival of Sam Shepard's modern classic examining the dynamics between two very different brothers.
In 'True West,' the sons of a desert-dwelling alcoholic and a suburban wanderer clash over a screenplay. Austin, the achiever, is working on a script he has already sold when his brother Lee, a demented petty thief, drops in. Lee pitches his own idea for a movie to the producer, Saul Kimmer, who then wants Austin to junk his bleak, modern love story and write Lee's trashy Western tale.
