Part of Theater for the New City's 2017 Dream Up Festival: This play seeks to deconstruct false narratives about the coming-out experience through an LGBTQ twist on the Hero’s Journey.

A dragon rules over the cosmos. Our hero, Sebastian, must travel across the universe, fight mythical beasts, and claim the weapon of ultimate power, the Sword of the Unicorn—all while overcoming his fears and doubts about his sexuality. 'Sword of the Unicorn' is both an outrageous sci-fantasy adventure and a symbolic exploration of the emotional journey of coming out as an adolescent.
