A young man seeks out singing lessons from a respected coach, who sees herself in his song choice.
Ms. Amelia, a perfectionist, well-regarded vocal coach, begins seeing student Ramon, a young man who wants to improve his vocal technique to sing a tribute at his newly deceased mother’s memorial service. The chosen song, “La Golondrina,” has a great significance for him and, evidently, for Amelia, who, despite her initial hesitance, agrees to give him a lesson. As the afternoon progresses, the two characters unravel the details of their past, deeply marked by a terrorist attack in a bar.
