Playwright Ariel Stess, known for her unique and captivating plays, brings a new dramedy to The Tank. Set in New Mexico, it follows the intertwining lives of four women from different generations and social backgrounds. Kara wakes up to find her family missing, Emma runs away with a married man, Barbara faces an unexpected visit from her ex-lover, and Miranda deals with burst pipes in her home. Through a series of internal monologues, KARA & EMMA & BARBARA & MIRANDA explores how their crises converge on Christmas Eve, leading them to inadvertently help each other. This production is supported by New Georges’ In Collaboration program, which partners with artists to produce new, innovative works.
