Fuente Ovejuna, a play renowned for its biting portrayal and critique of abuses of power, is remounted to remind audiences of the very real threats that oppressive authoritarian rule presents to any government system that prioritizes its people. 

For too long, the poor residents of Fuente Ovejuna have wearily weathered the cruelty of their lewd overlord, but when one woman stands up for herself, the town is motivated, at last, into rebellion.
