"What Mr. Maiullo does onstage is still extremely cool...He dedicates his theater piece to demonstrating Newton’s laws, which operate every day, but rarely this theatrically...The most intriguing moments in 'That Physics Show,' however, are when Mr. Maiullo makes the invisible visible...Mr. Maiullo can go awfully fast himself, and occasionally I wished he had taken more time with his explanations. But, as he reminds you, there won’t be a test."

"Physics is important and physics can be fun — but an off-Broadway show, it isn’t...Maiullo pretends that his his geeky explosions and frenetic motion are meant to demonstrate several of the laws of physics, but he moves between the displays so quickly that he doesn’t end up connecting any dots...Adults will find 'That Physics Show' a bit unsatisfying, but kids will certainly amused by Maiullo’s exploits and maybe even learn a thing or two."

"David Maiullo is the science teacher of one's dreams--an affable, highly knowledgeable individual who makes each lesson an entertainment...It makes for a breezy, amusing, and informative 90 minutes, and I now know far more about physics than I ever did. All around me were young people who sat rapt as Maiullo presented stunt after stunt...If you have a budding scientist, this is the show for him or her; it might even stimulate the interest of that English or music major you've been nurturing."

"'That Physics Show' purports to be 'physics not magic,' but don’t think this show won’t be exciting. Over an hour and half, Maiullo takes the all-ages audience on a sightseeing tour of the coolest physics tricks he knows...What the show will give you is an appreciation for the majesty of science...Though the explanations leave something to be desired, the physics demonstrations are spectacular."

"If there is one idea that this show underscores, it is that our world is so incredibly fascinating, we have only to discern it with new eyes. This production is Maiullo’s gift of physics to us. In his hands and interpretative demonstrations we gain a new appreciation of our 'reality,' which can be jaw dropping."

"Dave Maiullo is part showman, part circus barker, and all physics enthusiast and keeps the stage in constant motion. He flows from one demonstration/experiment to another all without added theatrics that might be needed if the demonstrations/experiments were not so remarkable...It is tons of fun and ‘What the what' informative and you don’t need a 7-year-old or 6th grader to enjoy it, but if you happen to know any take them along."

"Perfect for children up to 12 or 13, but their parents will be bored to tears. This show is geared to be a touring kids' show, meant to be done at schools or bar mitzvahs rather than an off-Broadway theatre...Likable enough, [Dave Maiullo] does not have enough charisma to keep adults entertained for 90 minutes. He’s kind of like an overgrown Mr. Rogers...Directed and produced by Eric Krebs, kids will be entertained and possibly learn something."

"An awesome and educational production...Some of the demos are so incredible you may feel like you're watching a magic show...Admittedly, 'That Physics Show' is mounted on a shoestring budget in a small black-box theater with prerecorded music...But Maiullo's infectious enthusiasm (this guy lives for science) and cool demos make up for the low production values."
