The Midtown International Theatre Festival presents the 16th annual summer festival celebrating the diversity of theatre, with an emphasis on imaginative, low-tech staging.
This summer, MITF presents 23 works created in a safe and affordable environment with the goal of encouraging innovation and nurturing theatre in New York City and beyond. This year's offerings include new and revived plays with a wide range of themes and styles. This year 'MITF Variety' is a part of the programming as well, and consists of programs featuring traditional cabaret performers, tributes to Broadway musicals, singer-songwriters, variety acts, and rock-and-roll.
