A musical adaptation of the classic science fiction/horror story of a mad scientist and a monster.
Based on the timeless Gothic horror by Mary Shelley, and jolted to new life with a steampunk current, this musical depicts the ill-fated life of the ambitious Dr. Frankenstein who gives life to a monster and must face his own monster within.
Ambition, greed, and passion abound, it soon becomes unclear who the madman is and who is the human. Published in 1818 and hailed as one of the first science-fiction novels, the story of man and monster is just as relevant today as it was in its first printing.
With a book by Brenda Bell, the show features a score by Michael Sgouros performed by a live, percussion-based chamber ensemble.
