Ambitious, Disappointing, Fluffy, Great Singing, Slow

See it if You want to hear some great singing of songs that sound like they came from a bad Vegas lounge act. Above average sets and costumes help.

Don't see it if You value your time. I thought it would be a cute distraction from the news and I found myself thinking about everything but this fluff. Read more

Credible Staging, Entertaining Enough, Somewhat Um-Chucka Score, Talented Cast, Too Many Songs...Too Many Notes

See it if U appreciate new "standard" musical comedy fare, 2 hear talented & attractive cast sing very well, staging & design & casting R enuf 4 U

Don't see it if U want 2 miss a musical # called Sodom & Gomorah By the Sea with apologies to Stephen Sondheim, need 2 have material worthy of the cast

Clever, Funny, Great Singing, Great Staging, Profound

See it if The inspiring biblical musical, w catchy tunes&some clever lyrics, is perf by great vocalists in a cozy theater, on a tiny artistic stage.

Don't see it if The relevant story about David looking back and pondering his legacy would benefit from some trimming. Not all songs are memorable. Read more

Absorbing, Great Acting, Great Singing, Intelligent, Refreshing

See it if you want to know how the David from David and Goliath became King David.

Don't see it if you don't like musicals or long performances, over 2.5 hours long; however, the play was so well done that time flies.

Clever, Enchanting, Entertaining, Great Singing, Intelligent

See it if Well staged show with mostly good songs performed by good, talented ensemble cast. Loosely based on a Bible story.

Don't see it if Way too long- needs a 15-minute edit. If you do not like a musical based on a Bible theme, skip this one.

Goliath Nimble Cast But Weak Material

See it if Unusually giant but good cast for an older styled musical about David's life that tries to be funny but feels extraneous and egocentric.

Don't see it if Makes David seem like an idiot but not in a funny enough way, most songs don't move the story/feelings along, many people fell asleep/left. Read more
