In small-town Maryland, Jeff Browning's attempt to join a supremacist group is thwarted by his ancestry.
In small-town Maryland, Jeff Browning is determined to give his newborn son every advantage by joining a local white supremacist group. However, unexpected ancestry test results complicate his plans, blurring the lines between "us" and "them." As Jeff struggles to keep up appearances, his carefully constructed narrative begins to fall apart when a prominent Black journalist and his daughter start probing for answers.

Developed by Chisa Hutchinson as part of the Dorothy Strelsin New American Writers Group at Primary Stages, the play was highlighted in the 2018 Fresh Ink Reading Series.
