Inviting, Iconic, Fun, Entertaining, Delightful

See it if you want good, old-fashioned (albeit updated) musical comedy with great singing, dancing, and a winning trio of Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion.

Don't see it if you are sick of the Wizard of Oz in all its incarnations—although The Wiz takes some delightful liberties with L. Frank Baum’s story.

Don't see it if The sets lacked creativity & imagination. The direction had some moments which needed improvement. Read more

Mediocre book, Great acting, Funny, Entertaining, Delightful

See it if you enjoy solid acting performances-entire cast is very good-Nichelle Lewis-Dorothy-is great, Avery Wilson-Scarecrow-is exceptional!

Don't see it if you want to see a theatrical gem-seemed like the production team cut corners-average book-and no yellow brick road-what were they thinking! Read more

Funny, Great dancing, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if you like The Wiz as this remake is refreshing. The tornado dancers were spectacular. Performances were funny and singing was great.

Don't see it if you don’t like musicals about the Wiz. You are expecting great sets and staging.
