Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends is a celebratory concert production honoring the legendary composer and lyricist whose work transformed American musical theatre. Featuring songs from across Sondheim’s iconic catalogue—including selections from Company, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and Follies—the show weaves together beloved numbers in a curated musical journey through his decades-long career. Originally staged as a tribute following Sondheim’s passing in 2021, the production invites audiences to reflect on the artistry and emotional depth of his writing.

The Broadway transfer of Old Friends reunites two Tony Award® winners at its helm: Bernadette Peters (Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods) and Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables). The ensemble also features a distinguished roster of performers from both Broadway and the West End, including Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins), and Jason Pennycooke (Hamilton), among others. The concert’s original West End run was met with critical acclaim, earning 5-star reviews and praise from The Times as “unmissable musical theatre.”
