"It’s an evening of safe laughs for people who think that raising children is an impossibly demanding task...Some of the show’s best laughs come from videos in which other parents comment on child rearing, sex and other topics. It’s a funny way to add surprise, but a better one would have been to have an overarching point beyond the predictably mushy one Ms. Blizzard closes with. There is no through line to this collection of domestic gags."

"The ideal audience is a quartet of female friends--wives and mothers all--whose girl's night out began with a couple of cocktails...Blizzard has her good points. She has an easy, relaxed stage persona that draws us in and makes us her confidantes...The downside, at least for me, is the narrowness of Blizzard's material...The sheer oversupply of fart and poop jokes finally did me in. I found her funny about 25% of the time, clearly much less than many of those in attendance in my performance."

"The honesty and crudeness in which this tale is told is eye-opening and hysterical, allowing the audience to instantly connect with this talented actress...Blizzard doesn’t miss a beat as she keeps the whole room in stitches. She’s observational but respectively sexier than Bombeck and less aggressive and angry than Barr. Being slender, pretty and smart is a help...Best of all, Dena connects perfectly with her audience, both male and female...Dena shares her life and observations, rightly certain, that you share her humanity."

"Blizzard’s ability to engage an audience and keep their attention while getting the laughs is truly commendable. Her years of experience and skills as a comic are all too clear as she masterfully converses with audience members and uses her quick, sharp and ready wit to circle back to those she’s outed for many an improvised punchline that has the audience rolling in their seats. There is never a dull moment as Dena holds her own and fills the stage with her irreverent humor."

"Dena's material covers the daily grind of being a mother, fears of growing old and losing one's physical appeal, how romance and sex become marital afterthoughts, how moms react to kids’ behavior, an aging mother’s flatulence, the funny side of an aunt's ailments, and so on...Much of this is familiar, but Dena squeezes every laugh out it. I was there with my middle-aged daughter, a mother of two, and we both guffawed loud and hard."

"She could be labeled a stand-up comic...Because Blizzard is so direct and extremely natural when going about her 60-minute-plus tirade, she’s appealing throughout...You can hear friends saying over the years, 'You’re good enough to be on stage.' They were right, and so now she’s facing audiences—with Carl Andress, who knows how to advise funny ladies, consulting with her on how to go about it."
